CRABS Hockey Jersey
CRABS IN A BARREL is a common vernacular expression, or idiom, that describes a population that is incapable of supporting its own people because the people within that population are competitive amongst themselves. In the animal world you can see this phenomenon play out if you put crabs into a container like a barrel or bucket. What ends up happening as they all individually struggle to escape the bucket or barrel, they will claw and scratch in all directions to het a hold on the edge of the barrel in order to pull themselves up and out. Once a crab reaches this point, however, other crabs will try to use the crab who is furthest up to pull themselves up and out of the barrel as well by grabbing them by the leg. In effect the lower crab ends up pulling down the crab closer to escaping, and the cycle starts over again, with none of the crabs actually getting out. This has been compared to urban and inner city communities for decades as in the modern era the pitfalls of city life can often cause competition between individuals who are not awake to the influencing factors in the environment. If you’ve ever felt like life resembles CRABS IN A BARREL, this Jersey may be for you.
