C Wills Photographic Visions

So while working on the recent rollout, I have been discussing lots of good ideas with C Wills and got really excited about this project we are dropping here. I am all about supporting creative growth and I love facilitating new ways to experience an artist. We know C Wills has a great musical proclivity, but his close friends have seen a lot more from him visually as he’s begun to express himself with cameras. Employing vintage film cameras that he has collected, we had to come back with a capsule series of moments he captured at this most recent Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival, in it’s milestone 10th year of epic LA music history. The warm and personal behind the scenes shots of Alchemist, Maria Zardoya, and Madlib are a reflection of the photographer’s vibe as well. One thing I think these images tell the story of is how fun it is to be at a festival vibing with C Wills. He is as much a colleague as he is a music lover, and a joy to be around so of course these flicks would exude that effortless cool that each person in them represents.

This year has been a doozy for Los Angeles, to say the least. These photos freeze a time before the tragic fires we endured this year. So C Wills and I have agreed to donate proceeds from this drop to Madlib who was directly impacted by the Eaton fire. As audiophiles, we know how heartbreaking it is to lose any of your music collection and we just want to do our part to help out with that in some way, and share some happy memories in the process. We are all in this together, thank you for hearing our story.
